Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right press brake tonnage?

Tonnage depends on material type, thickness and bending length. As a rule of thumb: for mild steel, multiply thickness (mm) squared by 8, then multiply by the bending length (m). For example, 3mm steel over 2m needs roughly 3² × 8 × 2 = 144 tonnes. Stainless steel requires about 50% more force.

What is the difference between hydraulic and electric press brakes?

Hydraulic press brakes offer high tonnage capacity and are proven for heavy work. Electric (servo) press brakes are faster, more energy-efficient and quieter, with excellent repeatability for precision bending. Hybrid models combine both advantages.

What tooling is included?

Standard supply includes a set of V-die blocks and punch tools for common bending applications. We also supply Wila, Rolleri and other European precision tooling for specialised profiles, hemming and multi-step bends.
