Frequently Asked Questions
What materials can be laser marked?
Fiber laser markers work on all metals (steel, aluminium, brass, titanium, copper), most engineering plastics, and some ceramics. They produce permanent marks including text, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes, logos and data matrix codes.
What is the difference between engraving, annealing and etching?
Engraving removes material to create a physical groove. Annealing heats the surface to produce a colour change without removing material — ideal for medical instruments. Etching removes a very thin surface layer for a contrasting mark. The same machine can do all three by adjusting power and speed parameters.
