Frequently Asked Questions
What is precision laser cutting?
Precision laser cutting uses smaller, high-accuracy machines designed for fine detail work — typically cutting parts under 3mm thick with tolerances of ±0.05mm or better. Applications include electronics enclosures, instrument panels, medical devices and prototype components.
How does a precision laser differ from a standard laser cutter?
Precision laser machines have lighter, stiffer gantry systems, linear motor drives instead of rack-and-pinion, higher-resolution encoders and optimised beam delivery for small spot sizes. The result is finer detail and tighter tolerances at the expense of maximum cutting thickness and bed size.
